These are the clinic’s supplied fees and rebate estimates. Reception will confirm the expected cost and applicable rebate before your appointment is confirmed.

Rebates are estimates only. Eligibility and the amount paid are determined by Medicare — please confirm your own circumstances with Medicare (opens in a new tab). The estimated gap is the clinic fee less the estimated rebate.

ADHD assessments

An adult ADHD assessment is billed as one or more psychiatric consultations. The number of appointments depends on the information required. See ADHD assessments for what the process involves.

Reports, forms and administrative work

Reports and forms are separate professional services. Fees depend on complexity, records reviewed, consultation time and the deadline required.

  • Reports, forms and record transfer

Quoted before the work begins, based on complexity and the deadline required. Medicare rebates generally do not apply.

Initial appointments

Deposits

A deposit is required to confirm an initial appointment. Reception will confirm the current amount and the date it is due when your appointment is offered, and the deposit is applied to your consultation fee.

The remaining balance is payable on the day of your consultation.

If you need to change or cancel an initial appointment, our notice requirements apply to the deposit.

Medicare

Medicare and private billing

How payment works

  • The full consultation fee is paid at the time of your appointment.
  • Where available and eligible, the clinic may submit a Medicare claim through Easyclaim after full payment.
  • The clinic cannot guarantee Medicare’s processing time or the rebate paid.

Where no rebate applies

Patients without a valid Medicare card or a current referral are billed privately at the full consultation fee. Medicare rebates generally do not apply to:

  • Missed appointments and late-cancellation fees
  • Many reports and forms
  • Transfer of correspondence to additional providers
  • Non-clinical administrative work

Additional fees

Costs beyond a standard consultation

Additional costs can arise where an appointment involves more than a standard consultation. Where it is feasible to do so, we will provide an estimate before any additional fee is incurred.

Administration, cancellation and non-attendance fees do not attract a Medicare rebate.

Additional fees may apply for

  • Consultation complexity
  • Extended consultation time
  • Reports and written assessments
  • Forms and administrative paperwork
  • Review of records provided before an appointment
  • Transfer of correspondence to an additional provider

Before your appointment

Claiming your Medicare rebate

So a rebate can be processed on the day, please check the following before you arrive.

  • Your referral is current and valid.
  • Your Medicare details are up to date.
  • The clinic holds your correct personal and contact details.
  • You bring your physical debit card so a rebate can be processed on the day.

Medicare claiming requirements can change. If you are unsure what to bring, contact reception before your appointment.
